My Role

  • Lead product designer and user researcher

  • Mailer graphic designer (for beta users only)

Opportunity

Capitalize on the leads we capture and allow them to trigger automated marketing mailers (something home service providers already do manually) with existing tools.

  1. Discovery on direct mail ROI and tool gaps with DOPE Marketing and SendJim

Competitor review of SendJim’s Radius Bomb and EDDM (Every Door Delivery Mail) features. Each offered different ways to send mailers and moderate cost but neither were automatically triggered, filters we’re at the zip code level, and triggers (to initiate a mailer) were limited.

A screenshot of our collaborative requirement doc for StreetBlasts. In this doc we recorded links to user interview transcripts, personal notes and takeaways from those same interviews, and organized and prioritized requirements we saw in the market and heard from users.

2. Using v0 Prototypes as the Living Product Requirement Doc for defining the first and second iterations

The planned MVP version developed in v0. We shared this in user interviews to nail down the exact minimum viable version of this feature and which user cohort it would be most valuable for.

The second iteration of the feature, developed in the same v0 prototype as the MVP so we could validate both versions with users and examine feasibility with engineering.

3. Adopt current multi-page design for artwork upload

Directly inspired by our v0 prototype, I built the full experience in Figma using our design system. In this instance, I needed to extend the design system to handle a “modifier” in the top right corner of our BigRadio buttons.

For a previous mailer project we had already built an artwork upload page that included aspect ratio and file size validation in addition to a static Mailing Panel to ensure users knew which side would receive the recipients address.

4. Supported GTM (go-to-market) with high impact in‑app banners and handcrafted, no cost mailer designs for every Beta user.

Building StreetBlasts GTM plan included mailer design, in app marketing, and a supporting email campaign

I designed 20+ mailers for our beta, targeting prospects and teams without design resources, so we could show StreetBlasts’ value at no cost.

Results

This feature released its Beta in Aug. 2025 and the data is still coming in! (Updated Aug. 2025)
